Your Responsibility
When you join an IOW Adventure Girls UK meetup, activity, or retreat, you take part voluntarily and at your own risk. While we create supportive and welcoming outdoor experiences, each participant is responsible for their own safety, wellbeing, and personal decisions during activities.

Many of our events involve physical outdoor activities such as walking, swimming, paddleboarding, or camping. Please only take part in activities that feel appropriate for your own fitness level, experience, and comfort, and ensure you arrive prepared with suitable clothing, equipment, and awareness of weather and conditions.

We’re here to encourage and support one another - but listening to your body and making safe choices always comes first.

Respecting the Environment
Spending time in nature is at the heart of everything we do, and caring for the environment is a shared responsibility.
Please help us follow a leave no trace approach by taking home everything you bring, including rubbish and personal items. Be mindful of wildlife, avoid disturbing natural habitats, and stick to marked paths where possible.
Together, we can help protect the beautiful spaces we explore so they can be enjoyed for years to come.

Photography & Filming
We love capturing moments from our adventures to celebrate the community and share what we do. Photos and short videos may occasionally be taken during meetups, events, or retreats for use on our social media, website, and promotional materials.

By attending an activity, you may appear in photographs or filmed content. If you would prefer not to be included, that’s absolutely fine - simply let us know at the start of the event or email us beforehand at iowadventuregirlsuk@gmail.com.
Your comfort and preferences will always be respected.

Costs & Contributions
IOW Adventure Girls UK began as a free, community-led space and remains open to all - with no membership fees required to join.

Many of our regular meetups continue to be free or run on a shared-cost basis, where participants simply pay their own individual expenses (such as campsite fees, equipment hire, or instructor costs). Any costs will always be clearly communicated in advance.

As the community grows, we also offer retreats and extended experiences that are professionally organised and priced. These help support the planning, coordination, and ongoing running of IOW Adventure Girls UK, allowing the community to grow sustainably while continuing to create meaningful outdoor opportunities for women.

Our aim is always to keep experiences accessible, transparent, and rooted in community.
